That sounds like an easy call. It isn't.

Because the thing you are really choosing between here is not watt-hours. It is what happens in year three when something stops working.

The Bluetti holds more. The Anker is smaller and lighter.

What the extra capacity buys you

The AC180 carries 1,152Wh against the C1000's 1,056Wh. About 96 more watt-hours.

Translated: roughly forty more minutes of fridge, or another hour and a half of CPAP. Nice. Not decisive.

If you are within an hour of running out, you already sized wrong. Buy the next size up instead of agonizing over this gap.

What the smaller size buys you

Pick both up and the Anker feels like the newer product. It is about seven pounds lighter and meaningfully more compact. verify

That sounds like a nicety until you try to store it. In an RV bay, a hall closet, or the footwell behind a driver's seat, the C1000 fits where the AC180 makes you rearrange things.

The real difference: what happens when it breaks

Here is where these two genuinely separate.

Anker has been making consumer electronics for a long time and its warranty process is the least painful in this category. You email, a human replies, and it gets sorted. verify

Bluetti's US service turnaround has been inconsistent. When it goes well it goes fine. When it doesn't, you are chasing it.

That difference is worth nothing on day one and quite a lot on the day the inverter stops. You are buying a product you might not really need for three years — support is not a soft factor here, it is the product.

Where Bluetti pulls ahead

Two real wins.

Surge headroom. The AC180 lifts to 2,700W against the Anker's 2,400W. That's what actually starts a fridge compressor or a sump pump. Capacity gets the attention; surge is what stops the unit tripping at 3am.

It grows. The AC180 takes expansion batteries — B80, B230 or B300 — so a bad winter doesn't mean buying a whole second unit. The Anker's expansion caps out around 2,112Wh.

Where Anker pulls ahead

Six AC outlets against four. During an outage you always need one more than you have.

Faster to a full charge. Under an hour, against Bluetti's 1.3–1.8 hours. When the grid flickers back for ninety minutes mid-outage, that gap is your whole evening.

Two USB-C ports against one, and one of them is 100W, so a laptop and a phone charge at once without an adapter.

The fan behavior. The Anker stays quieter under moderate load. If this runs in a bedroom overnight next to a CPAP, that is not a minor point.

Notice the 5,000 BTU AC row. Both do it. Neither does it for long. That is the honest picture on air conditioning at this size.

Who should not buy either of these

Three groups, plainly.

Anyone with a well pump. Neither will start one. This is a 1kWh class product and a well pump needs a different category entirely.

Anyone whose plan is heating. A 1500W space heater drains either of these in well under an hour. If your outage worry is a cold house with electric heat, no portable battery in this class solves it — a gas furnace blower does, and that is a much smaller load.

Anyone buying their first power station who wants hand-holding. Bluetti's documentation assumes you will figure it out. Anker is better here but still assumes some comfort with the app. If that describes you, look at Jackery instead and accept paying more for less.

Straight answer

Buy the Anker SOLIX C1000 if it needs to fit somewhere specific, if it might travel, or if you want the company more likely to answer when something goes wrong. That is most people.

Buy the Bluetti AC180 if you want the most battery and surge headroom per dollar, if you might expand it later, and you are comfortable being your own tech support. That is a legitimate choice, not a compromise — you genuinely get more hardware. Just don't buy it expecting the 45-minute charge, because that number isn't what it looks like.

What you should not do is agonize. These are close enough that either serves you well, and the size you buy matters far more than the badge on it.

Which has more capacity, the AC180 or the C1000?

The Bluetti AC180, by roughly 100 watt-hours. In practice that is about forty extra minutes of fridge time — real, but not the thing that should decide your purchase.

Is Anker more reliable than Bluetti?

Anker has the better support record of the two, and that is worth something on a product you might not need for three years. Both use LiFePO4 cells with similar cycle ratings, so the cells themselves are not the difference.

Which fits better in an RV?

The Anker C1000. It is noticeably more compact and about seven pounds lighter, which matters when it lives in a bay or under a bench.

Can either one run a window air conditioner?

A small 5,000 BTU unit, yes, for a few hours. An 8,000 BTU unit will likely trip them at startup because of the surge. Check your AC's startup draw, not its running draw.
