The number that actually separates them

Wall recharge time.

The Delta 2 refills in about eighty minutes. The Jackery takes closer to a hundred. verify On paper that is a shrug.

In a real outage it is not.

Power comes back at 2pm on a Tuesday for ninety minutes while the utility does something to a substation, then goes again. The Delta 2 goes from nearly flat to nearly full in that window. You get your whole night back.

But if you are camping, none of this matters. There is no outlet in a state park. This spec is worth a lot at home and nothing in a field.

Where Jackery genuinely wins

Pick it up. That is the whole argument, and it is a better argument than it sounds.

Three things, and they compound.

You can add a second battery later. The Jackery is a sealed decision. Whatever you buy is what you own forever. The Delta 2 lets you start at 1kWh and grow if your winters get worse.

What neither one does

Let's kill some hope early, because both companies market these hard.

Neither will run central air. Neither will start a well pump. Neither runs a 1500W space heater for more than a short while — do that math and it is brutal, because a space heater eats a full kilowatt-hour every forty minutes.

Neither is a whole-home solution, whatever the photo of a smiling family in a kitchen suggests.

The one you should not buy

Not either of these, exactly — but the version of this decision that goes wrong.

Do not buy the Jackery if you are spec-shopping. You will get less capacity, fewer outlets and no expansion path for similar money, then feel cheated in six months when you notice. Jackery charges a premium for approachability. That is a fair trade only if you actually want approachability.

Do not buy the EcoFlow for a technophobe. The app is where the good stuff lives, and someone who will not install the app is buying a worse Jackery at the same price.

And do not buy either as your answer to a well pump or an electric range. That is a different product category and a different budget.

Straight answer

Buy the EcoFlow Delta 2 if this lives in your house for outages. Faster refill, more outlets, room to grow. That is the situation most people are actually in.

Buy the Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 if it goes camping more than it sits in a closet, or if the person using it wants a device that explains itself.

Which one recharges faster from a wall outlet?

The EcoFlow Delta 2, by a wide margin. That matters more than it sounds. When the grid comes back for an hour mid-outage, a fast unit nearly refills and a slow one barely moves.

Can either one run a refrigerator?

Yes, both. A full-size fridge draws roughly 150 watts while the compressor runs, and it only runs about a third of the time. Either unit covers an overnight comfortably.

Which is better for camping?
